Only the IRS can answer that. They do not notify TT.
If you received the first stimulus payment by direct deposit, you’ll most likely get the second and third payments the same way. However, a few folks report the "Get My Payment" tool indicating they will receive the later payments by mail, despite no change in bank accounts. Many filed their taxes electronically, too. There is no clear answer at this point why that is the case. The IRS advises folks not to call, as their representatives don’t have additional information beyond what’s available on the “Get My Payment” tool.
I received the 1st DD. The second came by mail and the Third is stating by mail. Turbo Tax said, after the second one came by mail to make sure account info was correct and updated. Account info was correct. Turbo Tax also stated that they got with the IRS to make sure all of their customers account information was correct. If this was so then why was mine not Direct Deposited? Obviously the ball got dropped and Turbo Tax did not make sure all their customers account information was correct!
