Did you order the CD or the download of the TT2016 software? You may have received an erroneous email from us stating that your desktop download was available when you actually chose to purchase the CD. Please check your email today as we have sent out another email confirming that your CD order has shipped. If you receive(d) this confirmation email, then you can disregard the erroneous download as your CD will arrive by the expected delivery date. If you do not receive this confirmation email, please let me know as soon as possible. We haven't received any reports that the download issue is still happening, so it's important for us to know if you are one who is still experiencing the issue.

Did you order the CD or the download of the TT2016 software? You may have received an erroneous email from us stating that your desktop download was available when you actually chose to purchase the CD. The CD is only good for the initial installation, as all updates must be downloaded.

I haven't got a CD for 2016 yet so haven't done the initial turbo Tax 2016 installation.

CD's have just started shipping yesterday, and will be shipping this week and next.  In addition, all Advantage members get a complimentary download.  Maybe it is that complimentary download that you are seeing referenced.

The download file should be in your online account for at least 3 years, and will always be the most-recent version.

You can check on your order to see whether it shows a CD or download by signing into your Advantage account.  See this FAQ:
