I have already filed my taxes for 2020 and paid all taxes on unemployment. Now $10,000 of unemployment won’t be taxed, can I get a refund for that? What do I need to do?

Here is why you do NOT amend your return for unemployment:

Please read this very recent news from the IRS:

The IRS will be recalculating the taxes based on the exclusion and start sending tax refunds in May.  There is no need to amend your tax return for the exclusion.
