I have a MW506NRS form and don't know where to enter it

Form MW506NRS is designed to assure the regular and timely collection of Maryland income tax due from nonresident sellers of real property located within the State. This form is used to determine the amount of income tax withholding due on the sale of property and provide for its collection at the time of the sale or transfer.

The income tax withheld and reported on Line 8 of the Form MW506NRS must be claimed as an estimated tax payment  on your federal return. Information will flow to your state return. .

Form MW506NRS

  1. Go to Federal
  2. Go to Deductions and Credits
  3. Go to Estimates & other taxes paid
  4. Go to Other income taxes
  5. Go to Withholding not entered on a W2 or 1099.
  6. Enter the amount in State Withholdings after selecting Maryland as your non-resident state
