I have a disabled son who lives with us and he turned 18 in Jan. 2018. Using Turbo Tax Deluxe it says he it not eligible for Child Tax Credit. Is there away around this?

No because the Child Tax Credit if for children 16 and under. To qualify for the Child Tax Credit in 2017, your child must be born on or after January 1, 2001.
