Actually, you should enter it using the directions in the FAQ below if it is taxable (which depends on what type of settlement it was). I would first go back on the screen you are entering the 1099-MISC as of now and delete that 1099-MISC.

You can then enter it correctly to prevent any additional tax by following the directions at the bottom of this answer;
