If you receive the Form 1099-misc as a self-employed taxpayer ( receive this income yearly), but you have no related expenses to claim, you can simply use TurboTax Deluxe which will cover your situation.  However, if you receive the income on a yearly basis and have related expenses to claim, you will have to use TurboTax Self-Employed online edition.

If receive the Form 1099-misc only at one event, to file the Form 1098-T, you will have to use TurboTax Deluxe.
