I had two tax refunds for 2017. I only got one back. It was my first time doing taxes ever and I'm just wondering where the other one went.

Your federal return comes from the IRS treasury department while your state refund will come from your state treasury department. They generally come at separate times.

If you are looking for your tax refund, it usually takes 2 - 3 weeks to get your refund.  Some taxpayers get theirs early while some will wait the entire 3 weeks.  You can track your refund by reading the following information:
