I had to issue a 1099 misc to a fellow contractor. We split commissions and I had to issue him a check. Where can I access that part on the Turbotax Home and Business?

You claim amount paid for non-employee compensation either as a cost of goods sold, or ordinary and necessary business expense.

To access this in Turbotax Home and Business:

·       Open your return

·       Click on the BUSINESS tab

·       Under the Business Income and Expense section

·       On the Profit or Loss from Business line click the Update button

·       On your business line click Edit

·       Scroll down and click and click Start on either:

·            Inventory / Cost of Goods Sold, or

·            Business Expenses

·       Enter your information as appropriate
