Sorry, that is not possible. Only the prior tax year, 2020, can be transferred to the current tax year, 2021.

Is there a way I can import data, not from a previous year, but from 2 years ago, to set up the framework so that I can then change the imported number to the CPA created values, or must I enter it all manually?
Unfortunately, there is no way to transfer a 2019 return into the 2021 program.
You will have to enter the information manually into a 2021 edition of TurboTax.
Sorry no. You can only transfer from the immediate prior year. If you get the Desktop program for 2020 you can transfer 2019 into 2020 then recreate your 2020 return to get the file to transfer into 2021. In the Desktop program you can use the forms mode to recreate the CPA return.
You can buy 2020 here. If you do get 2020 we can tell you how to transfer 2019 into it.

Thank you all for your replies. I haven't started my TY2021 return, but I now know what I am facing. This sure looks like a short-sighted "feature" or more likely to punish people who do not use Turbo Tax EVERY year. Or both?
I had better roll up my sleeves and start transferring data..... Or just pay the CPA each year instead.
I wouldn't think anyone can transfer from 2 or more years ago. You need the current prior year. Things change every year. Like you will need last year's AGI, filing status, name, address, Depreciation. Lots of stuff. You can transfer from returns done other places. Like if you have a pdf from the CPA. Bu t it has to be an electronic pdf file not a scanned pdf. And you can transfer from HR Block and other places.
