I had Medicaid in 2025 and didn't have the market place insurance but the taxes are asking for a 1095 A form what do I do it doesn't say anything about Medicaid

I had Medicaid in 2025 the market place also signed me up for insurance but I didn't need the insurance because I had Medicaid. I did not pay for health insurance last year because I had it through social services

When you were asked if you received a Form 1095-A you should have answered NO.

 

To enter, edit or delete your Form 1095-A -

  • Click on Federal Taxes (Personal using Home and Business)
  • Click on Deductions and Credits
  • Click on I'll choose what I work on (if shown)
  • Scroll down to Medical
  • On Affordable Care Act (Form 1095-A), click the start or update button

Or see if the form is included in your tax return and if it is then delete the Form 1095-A

 

Click on Tax Tools on the left side of the online program screen

Click on Tools

Click on Delete a form

 

Note - There may be multiple pages of your tax return forms and schedules so click on the page number or right arrow (>) shown at the bottom of the federal tax return forms.
