I had caresource until august 2017. Will I have a penalty for the 4 months without health insurance, and turbo tax takes it out?

Most people must have qualifying health coverage or pay a fee for the months they or their dependents don’t have insurance. But if you qualify for a health coverage exemption you don’t need to have health insurance or pay the fee. TurboTax asks questions in the Health Insurance section to see if you might qualify to claim an exemption in your return. If you do not qualify, Turbotax will calculate any penalty, and it will be included in the calculation of your refund or payment due to the IRS.
