What can I do if the irs already accepted the return amount I'm not happy with?

You can amend, but you must wait. You can't file an amended tax return until the IRS has processed the return they have accept.

To amend your 2017 tax return, you need to complete Form 1040X.

Thank you if not for the TurboTax app I would not have known the correct amount and lost almost $2,000. And thanks to you now i know i can fix it (but not just yet).
