I had a child on July 14th 2016, will i qualify for head of house if i meet all other requirements, or is his birth date to far past half a year?

You should say that your child lived with you all year; you are allowed to say that for a newborn in order to receive the personal exemption for a dependent child, and the child tax credit, etc.
