I had a baby on December 28th 2021 and updated my W4 to claim him as a dependent. Why am I only getting $3600 for stimulus but not the $2000 as well?

The Child Tax Credit and the Additional Child Tax Credit combined are a maximum of $3,600 for a qualifying child not $5,600. You're getting the max of $3,600. Click here for more information. 

• Families that do not qualify for the above credits may still eligible for the $2,000 per child credit using the original Child Tax Credit income and phase-out amounts.
