Do you have a TurboTax Online account?

We'll help you get started or pick up where you left off.

I got rejection, the number is R0000-503-02. I understand the reason, but I don’t know how I can solve this issue. My spouse doesn’t have SSN and doesn’t stay in U.S.

My spouse is also non residential alien, because of living in other country. In this case, what should I put the blank number in the SSN box of TurboTax file? Could you please tell me how to fix it?

See this TurboTax support FAQ when your spouse is a nonresident alien - https://ttlc.intuit.com/turbotax-support/en-us/help-article/tax-credits-deductions/file-taxes-spouse...

Since your spouse isn't considered a US person for income tax purposes—neither meeting the substantial presence test nor the green card test—your spouse isn't required to file a US tax return.

You have the choice to file your income tax return using the "Married Filing Separately" status. However, if you choose this option, you won't be able to file electronically; you must mail the return to the IRS and write "NRA" in the space designated for your spouse's Social Security number.
