If your e-file was rejected, you can try to fix the problem and re-file.
If you have a 6 digit PIN issued to you by the IRS you need to enter it in order to e-file. Go to Federal>Other Tax Situations>Other Return Info>Identity Protection PIN and enter the six-digit PIN.
Did you resubmit your tax return with the correct IP PIN? The IRS will start accepting tax returns next Monday, January 27. If you resubmitted your tax return and there is nothing else wrong with it, it should be accepted early next week.
Yes I fixed it the same day they rejected it ! Been waiting since the 17th says pending still
Oh---if you fixed it and re-filed, then you went back into pending. Like if you got out of the checkout line at Target and came back later--at the end of the line with your shopping cart. Watch your emails for the message when the IRS begins to accept/reject millions of e-files next week.
