I got married and added my spouse after I transferred my last years return. When efiling it asked for his last years AGI. I took it directly off his last years return but I keep getting rejected. How do I fix this?

Try entering 0 for the AGI. The IRS might have processed his return later so the AGI didn't get entered in time. Especially if he mailed it. That works for most people. See,

If you can’t get it to efile you will have to print and mail it.

Be sure to attach copies of your W2s and any 1099s that have withholding on them. You have to mail federal and state in separate envelopes because they go to different places. Get a tracking number from the post office when you mail them for proof of filing.
Did he amend his return last year or did the IRS make any adjustments? Did he e-file last year? If not (he did not file or mailed his return), try using zero as his prior year AGI. Finding last year's AGI - If he did e-file, does he remember the 5 digit self-select pin he used? You only need the last year's AGI number or the 2023 self-select pin - you don't need both.
