I got 3 1095-As: for wife/myself/kid. Kid was on our policy for 4 months. Before doing %s for 2 tax households, do I enter amount from all 3 1095-a forms on both returns?

I received three 1095-A forms -- one each for my wife, myself and my daughter. My daughter was covered on my Health Insurance Marketplace policy for January through April of 2021, then got her own policy through work and is no longer a tax dependent for us -- and wasn't for 2021. I know I have to allocate percentages between our two tax households on our return for the purposes of form 8962. My question: Do I enter information from all three of the 1095-A forms on both our tax returns -- the joint return of my wife and I, and the individual return of my daughter?

No, you will enter all three on your joint return, and on your daughter's you will only enter her 1095-A.  Essentially, you will only have to allocate the premiums that she received.

Since I continually get an error from Turbotax -- apparently because I check both "shared the policy with another taxpayer" and "I'm self employed and bought a Marketplace plan" when filling out the 1095-A material -- is it a feasible work-around to not check the "shared the policy with another taxpayer box"? I would still be including the info from all three 1095-A forms I received -- for me, my wife and daughter -- and my daughter would say she's sharing a policy with me. If that's not workable, what would you suggest as a way to clear up this error?

Yes, this seems to be a feasible workaround.   It is my experience that you would not report your daughter's share on your return.   She should report her share on her return and report that she shared a policy with you.

I assume you received one 1095-A for your wife, then you received one 1095-A for you and your daughter for the 4 month period, and then the third 1095-A would be just you for the remainder of the year.  If this is the case, then take the 1095-A that covers you and your daughter for the 4 months and divide the amount in Columns A, B, and C by two.   She reports half on her return and you report half for the 4 months of your return.

This is the correct way to report because if your daughter does not report on her return, she will get a letter asking for her to add the 1095-A and 8962 to her return.   You do not both want to report her portion.  She would report the information for the top part of the form as it is on the 1095-A form, it would be in columns A, B, and C that she would report half of the amount and you report half of the amount.
