I got 1st stimulus automatically back in April ‘20. Now I see “Payment Status N/A” message for 2nd stimulus, can I find out specifically WHY? Can that status CHANGE?

Got first stimulus payment automatically, why would there be an issue with second round? Could it still be processing? Or is any TT ‘19 filer not getting second stimulus for some reason? None of my info changed including bank account.

Hello,

We are happy to share that stimulus payments will begin to be deposited today, Jan 8th, for millions of our customers affected by the IRS error. We expect most of these payments to be available today, but banks could take a few business days to process. Payment will be deposited into the same bank account that customers received their 2019 tax refund. Customers receiving a stimulus payment received an email from TurboTax letting them know their stimulus payment is on the way.

If you had your TurboTax fees deducted from your refund when you filed your tax return, then the IRS may have sent your stimulus check to the bank that processed your refund, which is different from your bank. If this happened, then TurboTax will have notified the IRS of your correct account information and they are working to send your payment within days.

Also, you can enter the payment on your tax return for 2020 if you don't receive it by the time you file your return, and it will be included with your refund.

Thank you for the info so far, however, it’s frankly insulting that the company I’ve used for years without issue - Intuit -  scripts a response they hope their sheep swallow but know satisfies nothing outside of their liability here. It’s 2021 - all customers have a platform and alternatives - be transparent, take responsibility, communicate  and implement a solution.

How do I eliminate all these alarming ambiguities?
If I (I did) / may have (have they or not) / within days (this could mean 2 days or 200 days) Why is Intuit silent or ambiguous regarding such a huge issue that’s already been identified,  resolved and proactively communicated by H&R Block/IRS co-op? Why am I digging for real answers from Thomas in a community setting? After 2020? Trying to make ends meet and stay alive - help us out! Thanks.

I must now add, that literally while I was posting my last reply, I received an email at 4:11am EST from you folks with exactly what I had just ranted about. Good job and thank you.
