I found out that my spouse's taxes for 2018 and 2017 have been rejected for AGI error. Can we still submit our taxes for 2019 jointly without fixing this at this moment?

My spouse has mailed the corrected 1040 forms for 2017 and 2018 to fix the error. However, we don't know when this will get resolved. In the meantime, we would like submit our joint tax return before the deadline, if possible.

Amended returns normally take about 4 months to process and this year will probably take 6 months or more.  You need to use the AGI from the original filed 2018 tax return or 0 (zero) if not 2018 return or it was filed late.  The IRS only used AGI from 2018 returns that were in the system by the due date.
