I forgot to file my sons 2022 state return, federal was done and accepted, how do I file state now

It is too late to e-file a 2022 return.  You cannot use online for a 2022 return now.  If you used TurboTax to prepare the 2022 federal return, you could purchase and download the 2022 software to prepare a 2022 state return, which would have to be filed by mail.

Or...you could go on the state's tax website and get the 2022 form to prepare by hand to mail in to the state.  You will need information from the 2022 federal return.
