I finishing my return on Turbotax it said I couldn't efile I would have to mail it in. But because I don't ow anything and I am not receiving a refund do I have to file?

I used Turbotax to do my return, do we have to mail in our return if we filed Married Filing Jointly and are under age 65 and gross income was less than 20,700?

No you do not have to mail in your taxes. You can absolutely efile your taxes.

Based on the information that you have given, and as long as you didn't have  $400 in net earnings from self-employment (income minus expenses)  or you had marketplace health insurance and received advanced payments for the premium tax credit, then you would not be required to file a federal tax return.
