I filled out the information to direct debit my checking account for fed tax owed. Then I filed by mail. Will the direct debit still go through? Or do I send a check?

No, the IRS won't direct debit your account if you've filed a paper return.

The best way to pay is to use the IRS' "Direct Pay" option and pay electronically. See the instructions below.
