Nothing ... just stop mailing in returns... the IRS will eventually process the first one you filed and will pitch the duplicate.

We cannot be sure what you mean by "filed twice."  It is impossible to e-file twice.  If you e-file and the return is accepted, any other attempts to e-file are rejected.  It is possible to make the mistake of e-filing and mailing the return or the mistake of mailing it twice.  There is nothing you can do about it.  You just have to wait for the IRS to process your return.  Duplicate returns can cause confusion and delays.

 

 

Once your federal return has been accepted by the IRS, only the IRS has any control. TurboTax does not receive any updates from the IRS.  Your ONLY source of information regarding your refund is the IRS.
