I filed my taxes on here last year no problem. But this year i have to mail in my state. Why is that?

Through this forum, we can't see your tax return or your personal information, so I can't really answer that, but you can try to switch to e-file for your state. Try this:

  1. Sign in to your Turbo Tax account.
  2. Scroll down to Your tax return & documents, click Show on the right.
  3. Select 2019 and then click Add a state.
  4. Select Review from the menu on the left side. 
  5. If any errors are shown, you will need to correct them. 
  6. Continue into the File section. 
  7. Keep going until you get to, Let's get ready to file, select I want to e-file.
  8. Continue until your return is transmitted.

If you get an error message you don't understand, post your error message in Community and we will help you. If it is related to your state return, be sure to mention the name of your state.

I filed my taxes on here last year no problem. But this year i have to mail in my state. Why is that?

I have filed and received my federal taxes with another company. but couldn't file my state because the don't do  "leave in one state and work in another". So I did the state with turbotax. It said i had to send it by mail. It also said I had another account and maybe the print out was sent to that account. I can't remember the other account user name. I don't know how to get it to finish the taxes

Log completely out of all TurboTax accounts if you have more than one. 

You can use this link https://myturbotax.intuit.com/account-recovery/ to recover your account with your phone number. If that doesn't work there is a small blue link at the bottom that says Try something else and if you click on that you can locate your account by using your SSN, name, and birthdate. 

If you still can't access your account, you can contact TurboTax Support for assistance by following this link https://support.turbotax.intuit.com/contact/
