I filed joint return with my spouse. It was rejected because of missing IP-PIN. How do I know whose IP PIN is missing? We did not received any letter about it.

If you do not know which one of you has an IP PIN, you can:

• Retrieve your IP PIN online at the IRS's Get an IP PIN site; or
• Call the IRS at 1-800-908-4490 to have your IP PIN mailed to you (this can take up to 21 days)

To enter or edit your IP PIN numbers, please follow the instructions below: 

1. Sign into your TurboTax account.
2. Open or continue to your return if you don't already have it open.
3. In the Search bar type "IP PIN" (don't forget the space) and then select the Jump to link in the search results.
4. On the Identity Protection PIN screen, answer Yes. Select Add and enter your IP PIN in the space provided.
   • If you need to remove the IP PIN, select the trash icon.
5. Select Continue, then select Done.
