I filed and submitted return, it was rejected. TT upgraded to Self Employed, only need Deluxe. TT will NOT let me clear and start over because I have already filed.

My refund was rejected.  When I went to correct it, it upgraded to self employed.  however I only need deluxe.   I tried to clear and start over but TT would not let me because I have already e-filed my return.  
How do I downgrade?

Once you have paid and submitted you will not be able to downgrade. You will be able to still fix your return and resubmit it, More information has been provided for you below.

@LindseyLO  This does not help my situation.  I filed my return and it was rejected.   Once you e-file the first time, TurboTax WILL NOT allow you to 'clear and start over' on your return.

this happend to me as well, never using turbo tax again, now i have to fork out an extra $155 for no reason because my taxes could have been filed with the free version

If you haven paid you could just leave this account and start over in a new account.

 

Online is only good for 1 return per account.  But you can use the same email address for 5 accounts.   How to start another return in the Online version
