Your post indicates that you're using TurboTax Premier Online edition. In TurboTax Online, everyone can "start for free". As you enter your tax information, the program determines if an upgrade to a paid edition is required in order to properly prepare your tax return. You should have been notified during the data entry process that an upgrade is required.
TurboTax Free Edition is suitable for only the simplest returns. See the information I'm linking below for more explanation.
Is TurboTax Free Edition right for me?
I'm now trying to delete my taxes out of your turbotax. I haven't in any way or form paid for my taxes to be filed.
Your instructions "As long as you haven't submitted payment, deducted the TurboTax fee from your refund, or registered – you can erase your return and start from scratch"
How did I register? At the creation of the account?
@cldgal75 I'm not sure how a user is "registered", but I do believe that term refers to the Free Edition.
I'm sorry for the confusion. You don't have to delete all of your information if you don't plan to use TurboTax. You can simply abandon the return.
If you want to continue using TurboTax, you can create an entirely new account and begin again. Just remember which account is the one you wish to continue to use.
