I errored on my state estimated payments (overstated by $500). The State caught it just fine and paid me $500 less without needing to amend the state. I went back into my taxes to file an ammended retrun for Federal. I adjusted the payments and it recalculated that I owed $60 for federal. I went to file and it only allows me to file an ammended state return ... not the federal return. What do I do?

The Form 1040X cannot be electronically filed. You will need to print and mail the return to the address listed on the instructions page.
You can either mail the payment with the amended return, or use the Internal Revenue Service on-line Direct Pay feature. You will not be charged a fee, nor will your bank account information be retained in the Direct Pay system. You will select amended return from the drop down menu to make the payment.
