You can leave this number off the tax return, as the IRS doesn't require it. The control number is a number that the payroll department uses to track its w2 forms. Please view the Turbo Tax FAQ below, for more information.

IRS says my wife's 2023 AGI is incorrect. We filed jointly. Account transcript shows the AGI as $92,273. That is the number the IRS has rejected. How can I fix this?
