I entered an amount and description for the energy efficient charging station but when I return to the summary page it shows $0.

I believe the amount should show up regardless, but to confirm I do owe taxes so that would not be why it isnt reflected.  I know this was just recently made available so I wonder i there is a bug that needs to be worked out?

I've asked a similar question. For 2018 there is no federal credit - which totally doesn't make sense why would turbotax even put that on. Depending on the state you may get some state credit. https://www.energysage.com/electric-vehicles/costs-and-benefits-evs/ev-tax-credits/

Thank you!  It started to look that way to me, thanks for confirming.  It seems like it may be on there for people (or businesses) to potentially retro claim it from 2017, but not entirely sure.  It would be helpful if turbotax put some more info and direction in on that one.

I know. Seems like turbotax is in business of confusing people - so you can order their cpa version. Why would they even allow you to fill it out if you are doing individual taxes...
