I entered all of my 2017 tax information on my desktop and it was all gone when I reopened the TurboTax application
The desktop program (it appears you're using TurboTax Premier desktop) requires you to save all of your information before closing the program. Typically, the program will ask, "Do you want to save this file?" before it allows you to close the TurboTax program.
At any rate, if you failed to save the file before closing the program, I'm afraid you'll have to re-enter all of your data. I'm so sorry.

then don't post if you are not responsible for the answer - this is A TURBO TAX PROBLEM THERE IS NO EXCUSE WHY THIS SOFTWARE DOES NOT SAVE ITS WORK OR PROMPT YOU TOO DO SO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
