If you have taxes owed, including a tax payment and the envelope is postmarked on or before 11:59pm on 04/15/2026 then you have timely filed your tax return.

If you are receiving a tax refund, you have until April 15, 2029 to file the tax retun.

You should try to fix it before you mail it. What was the rejection code/message?
