The message from TurboTax was that THEY had a software error concerning calculation child tax credit and I had to fill out a box and refile.
Go back into the section for the advanced child tax credit. Delete the answers, go through the steps and then re-enter the amount received for advanced child tax credit. Attempt to e-file again.
As far as the credit card payment, your return will be filed so you wouldn't be reimbursed.
That won’t work because it asks again for the credit card info. And it will be charged again. According to TurboTax the card will not be charged until the return is accepted. So it’s just in a pending state until it falls off. 2-3 days according to the helpful lady at Goldman Sachs. So I’m just waiting now until it falls off and then I’ll refile because I have the option to use a different payment method if I want.
