If you are being rejected because you did not enter a 6 digit Identity Protection Pin, then the IRS database believes that an IP PIN was sent to you.
Go to this IRS website to retrieve your IP PIN - https://www.irs.gov/identity-theft-fraud-scams/retrieve-your-ip-pin
To enter, edit or delete a 6 digit IP PIN
Click on Federal Taxes (Personal using Home and Business)
Click on Other Tax Situations
Scroll down to Other Return Info
On Identity Protection PIN, click the start button
If you are unable to provide an IP PIN then you will have to print and mail your tax return.

If your return is being rejected because you did not enter an IP PIN, that indicates that the IRS data is showing that the IP PIN must be included with your filed return. You have to get a new IP PIN each year.
