I don't want my Form 1040 to get processed yet

Good morning.

I know its bit awkward, but I want to check if my Form 1040 is already processed or not

(It's really hard to get human support in TurboTax)

I tried to sync my Tax filing software to file my Form 8949 and Schedule D,

but it seems like TurboTax is buggy with that this year.

As a result, they finished filing my Tax report without including Form 8949 and Schedule D.

I need to amend my tax but I'm not sure if the Form 1040 is already filed or not.

Hopefully if not, then I can just edit my files.

When you sign in to the software, you can check whether the tax return has been e-filed and accepted. If it hasn't been filed and accepted, you can still make changes. However, if it has already been accepted, you’ll need to wait until the return has been fully processed before submitting an amendment.

To file an amendment, select your product below and follow the instructions.

My status is "Ready to Mail", and my total tax due is $0.

But I can't find any find where I can change my documents.

To access your current or prior year online tax returns sign onto the TurboTax website with the User ID you used to create the account - https://myturbotax.intuit.com/

When you sign onto your online account and land on the Tax Home web page, scroll down and click on Add a state. 

This will take you back to the 2025 online tax return.

If you are using TurboTax Online and you want to work on your return without amending it, click on Add a State.  This will allow you back in the return to make additional changes.  You do not really have to add a state.  

If you are using TurboTax desktop, just go to the section of the return that you need to work on.
