If you did not file your own tax return this year, it appears that someone else filed a tax return using your information.  If this is the case, you will need to mail in the return, and you should report the Tax Identity Theft/Fraud that has occurred.  Please see this IRS website with more information on the steps you may take:  Taxpayer Guide to Identity Theft | Internal Revenue Service

I really find that hard to believe. Is it possible I accidentally submitted twice through Turbo Tax? Is there a way to find out? I'm trying to file an extension because I'm not prepared to send in my return and this isn't letting me do that. So I'm stuck. What should I do?

I'm having the same exact issue myself, and all my information is correct.

I did a quick return on Turbo Tax to get the numbers right for my extension. Also rejected.
