IP Pin is an Identity Protection PIN issued by the IRS. You must enter it to efile. It is issued on a CPO1A Notice. You can retrieve it from the IRS website but you must have or create an account. If you can't retrieve it, you can call [phone number removed] to get a new one issued. The alternative is to paper file which case your return will be delayed.
