In the regular Turbo Tax Free Edition, information that you can enter is limited now. Why do I have to upgrade from the Free Edition?

OR There is the Turbo Tax Free File program which is free for federal and state. And has more forms than the Federal Free Edition, like Schedules A, B, C , D, E, F, EIC, H, K-1, SE, etc.
To qualify for the Free File website you just need to meet one of these 3 things.
AGI $39,000 or less.
Active duty military with AGI of $72,000 or less
OR qualify for EIC (earned income credit.)
In order to use the Free File program, you have to start it at a special website. Try signing in at the top right.
You are able to change the version of TurboTax that you are using. You will need to clear and start over.
Which online edition of TurboTax can be used depends on the type of tax data you are entering. The TurboTax Free edition is only for very simple tax returns.
If you have not paid for the online edition you are using, have not filed your tax return or registered the Free edition, then you can clear your return and start over with a lower priced edition. Click on Tax Tools on the left side of the program screen while working on the 2020 online tax return. Click on Clear & Start Over.
If you are eligible you can use the TurboTax Free File Program which is free to file both a federal and state tax return. The Free File Program edition is a full featured personal tax program and on a separate website from the TurboTax online editions. Here is a link to the free file site that is available for people who have one of these tax situations: AGI of less than $39,000, active duty military with an AGI of $72,000 or less, or eligible for EIC.
