I do not see my amended return on Turbotax, how will I know if it's accepted/rejected?

If you did not print, sign, date and mail the federal amended tax return, Form 1040X, to the IRS then nothing has been sent.

Amending a tax return is Only needed after the original tax return has been filed and accepted by the IRS and you need to correct the return that was filed.  The amended tax return should not be filed until the tax refund from the original return has been received or the taxes owed and paid have been processed by the IRS.

Or was your tax return just rejected and you needed to correct the error and re-file?
