I did not work in 2016 so I did not file a return. Is there some place to tell them so I can continue to e file?

It is insisting i put a number in, and when i put 0 it asks if thats what i put when i filed. I never filed in 2016, is there any way passed this?

You can answer YES to that question. Since you didn't file last year, the 0 will work.
