I did not received either stimulus check. Nowhere on my turbo tax form does it let me claim the recovery rebate (where I should be able to get both).

I was claimed as a dependent in 2019 so I never got the stimulus check last year. However, I am not being claimed as a dependent for 2020 which means I should be able to claim both stimulus checks (1200 and 600). Nowhere on my turbotax submission is there anything about the recovery rebate optional.

The stimulus check is an advance on a credit you can receive on your 2020 tax return.  If something went wrong or you did not get the stimulus check in 2020, you can get it when you file your 2020 return in early 2021—if you are eligible.It will end up on line 30 of your 2020 Form 1040.

The stimulus payment for which you are eligible to receive will be entered on your 2020 federal tax return as a tax credit on Form 1040 Line 30.

The TurboTax program will ask about stimulus payments in the Federal Review section of the program.

You have to complete entering your personal information in the My Info section.  You have to complete the Wages & Income section, the Deductions & Credits section and the Other Tax Situations section.
