I did not file my 2020 tax return and now I am filing through turbo tax and the form used was 2021, why?

Simple answer ... the current ONLINE program is ONLY for the 2021 return... so delete all the 2020 information you entered  and return when you have the 2021 info to enter.  Whatever you do do NOT file the 2021 return with the 2020 info still in it ... this will cause all kinds of issues for months to come.

Online is only good for 2021 now.  If you tried to use the Online version for 2020 and entered 2020 info into the 2021 Online version You can try to clear and start over to be only for 2021
