I couldn't efile because I didn't have any income. I printed the files to mail them but I only have my state return, I have nothing to send for federal. What should I do?

If you did not receive taxable income during the current year then you do not have a filing requirement.

You are not eligible to e-file without taxable income. You should not file a return when you don't have any withholdings or qualify for any refundable credits (review the blue hyperlink above "(... when to file when you don't have a filing requirement)."

But I read that even without income it was better to file. Should I not file as well my california return?
