I claim my grandfather as a dependent. He started receiving "Cash Assistance Program for Immigrants" (over $4,050/year). Will I not be able to claim him now?
I would like to know if Cash Assistance Program for Immigrants that my grandfather started receiving counts as his taxable income which prohibits him being a qualifying dependent.

The Cash Assistance program is social aid and does not count as income for the dependency test.
