I changed my name this year because I got married. How would I go about changing that on my account here?

While you are logged into your TurboTax account select the Personal Tab and then the edit button next to your name.

Caution:  If you have not yet changed your name with the Social Security Administration (SSA) your return will be rejected.  The SSA and IRS computers exchange information regularly so be sure to give it at least seven days after the name change with the SSA.

Workaround:  You can enter your previous last name first then your new last name in the last name box.

• Example: Joann Doe is now Joann Doe Smith

To change your name in your TurboTax Account follow these steps:  My Account > Account Settings > Edit
