I cant find how to turn off efiling; have an installed version?

What do you mean "turn off" e-filing?  Did you e-file and now wish you didn't?

It brings you to the Answer Xchange.  You seem to need help understanding how to use the File section of your desktop software.  Go very slowly and carefully through that section when you have completed your tax return.  It will take you step by step and give you the choice of whether you e-file or print and mail your return.  But your return will not be e-filed unless YOU actually e-file it.

If you selected the Refund Processing Service (which deducts your TurboTax fees from your federal refund), you'll only be allowed the option to e-file.  To avoid that, you'll need to make payment of your TT fees by credit or debit card.

@Kat Thanks for this.  When I see desktop being used, I sometimes forget they may not have paid TT yet.

Well, the software is paid for (of course), but the RPS and possibly other fees may be still hanging around.  You're welcome!

E-filing is not automatic or spontaneous.  You have to actually click the button to e-file on purpose.  If you do not want to e-file you can choose to file by mail.
