I cannot launch turbotax from the applications folder. I keep getting a message the the software is read only

I cannot launch turbotax from the applications folder. I keep getting a message the the software is read only

1) Did you finish the installation?  Did you see the little pop up box that says drag the file to here with an arrow pointing there?  If not, you will need to drag that file to the box that the arrow is pointing to to finish the install of TurboTax.

 

2) Did you install the .dmg version or did you install the .exe or .win files?  If you installed the .win or .exe files, you will need to uninstall and be sure to choose MAC OS as the operation system.  

 

3) If you did install the correct version, then you can follow the instructions in this link to Remove and Reinstall TurboTax for MAC
