I cannot for the life of me find the section to add the advanced child tax payments in, where the faq sends you doesn't exist can anyone point me directly to it?

Are you working on a 2021 return? There is no advanced child tax credit this year (2022).

If you are working on 2021, you have to enter the advance monthly child tax credit payments. But 2021 is the only year those payments were made. There is no place to enter such payments for 2022. And...you cannot use the current online software for a 2021 tax return. Online is only for 2022.
